Hudson Colombia Update

Updated: May 14

“Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.” - John 4:13-15

Miriam is loving Bible study, but you can also be praying for Max who suddenly at Kid’s Club two weeks ago had a potential stroke or a herniated disk! As pet lovers, we all know how hard it can be, so be praying for wisdom on what to do as he has been to the hospital and had several appointments. He is the best missionary dog there is!

Although we are not studying John during Sunday School or the preaching time, in the neighborhood in which we live we are often reminded of these precious verses from John. Why, you ask? It is not uncommon for us to have no electricity or water for hours, or even

days. This past month especially, Peter and I didn’t have water as much because of the construction within our house besides the water going out in the neighborhood as well. Either that, or we had too much water as pipes broke and there were leaks many times! It has been a constant struggle with the construction, but we are graciously reminded that our spring of water welling up to eternal life comes from Christ alone and it is our prayer to continue to share that hope with those around us!

This past month we have had several new people come to church, some of whom have been invited by family and others who have simply walked by and were interested and now attend. Please be in prayer for Noreily, Paula, Andrés, Angelica, and others!

In Kid’s Club, several of them are memorizing 2 Chronicles 20:9, and the names of the first 5 books of the Bible in preparation for taking their first field trip this year. As always, we will also be picking up trash starting this week. Please pray for salvation this year for Alison & Dani and spiritual growth in Mía, Martín, & Juan José.

In Youth Group, we started something different this year during the lesson time and it has gone well and has stimulated a deeper kind of talk. We split into age groups for the boys and then the older girls have their own group. Please continue to pray for salvation for Pipe,

Angél, Yonna, & Kevin, and growth in Mafe, Angie, & Sebas.

There are more ministries to mention such as the young adults group, women’s ministry, usher ministry, membership class, and discipleships with Juan David, Yair, Gladis, Andrea etc, but we cannot possibly put them all in words on paper! God is good though and is

working in the ministries and hearts of people. Please continue to pray and if you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask!

Peter and & I are looking to take our furlough on the East side in the upcoming months. We would love to see you all while we are home on the East side for those two months. During the last of April, we plan to be at our sending church of Emmanuel Bible Fellowship, and then our tentative schedule as follows:

May 5- Providence Baptist Church, Boston, MA

May 12- Ashes to Life, Beaver Falls, PA

May 19- Faith 2 Faith, Beaver Falls, PA

June 2- River Mountain Chapel, Hazel Township, PA

June 9- Bible Baptist, Liverpool, PA

We love you all. Thank you so much. To Him be the glory.

For His Kingdom,

Jamie, Peter, & Max

Our beloved Deyvis, one of the young men at church, desperately needs your prayers as he suddenly found out he has an irregular heat beat and is needing care soon. He has an appointment on March 16!

This is Marcela, Angie & Miguel’s mom. She has been attending church much more now and even Wednesday night prayer and membership class. She understands the gospel and is close to salvation!
