“Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that
comes from faith-to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.”
Romans 16:25-27
After one year of preaching through Romans, we have finished! What a joy it has been to study and preach through the tough topics that Paul presents! As a church this Sunday, April 30, we will have a different style of service and have many people, adults and kids, take turns to stand and read the entire book of Romans just as would have been done so long ago. Please pray with us that it will be a true blessing to all and that we will continue to grow as a church with a desire to know Christ more and more each day! The next series will be in the book of Matthew. Pray for preparation for that and that those who are not saved within the church will come to know Him soon. We are also seeing more families come to church now as well which is a blessing.
Youth can be a tough age, but we are seeing some change in a couple teens now. We praise God for that as well as the new youth attending. Some have come to church again (sporadically), others still struggle with laziness and waking up on time, and there are ones
who wrestle with salvation by faith and not by works. Pray especially for salvation for Pipe, Kevin, Wilson (new kid), Yair & Yanier, and for growth for Sebastian Becerra, Andrés Viera, Angie, and Juan David.
During Holy Week, the kids that had picked up trash and memorized Genesis 1:1 and James 2:23, earned their field trip, and we went to see the new Mario movie. One kid jumped out of the van when we arrived and said, “Today my dreams have come true! I have never been to a theater before!” We had a blast, and the kids are learning more about God through memory verses. Continue to pray for Fabian and Fabrizzio and their growth in Christ and for salvation for Valeria and Angelina (Pipe’s sister). We have seen much improvement in many of the kids, especially in those that have been attending homework help at the church throughout the week. Fabian is in fourth grade and last week when he got his report card was the first time in all his life he had never failed a class!
As we study Galatians with the young adults, they have many questions. Pray the Word would be clear to them, and they will receive salvation in His name.
Additional Prayer Requests:
Marissa’s visa was denied again, and she has to leave in July. Pray that she will accepted in August to come back!
We will be leaving this Thursday for our vacation and healing time.
Pray for safe travel and a great time of connecting with God and one another!
We pray for more men in the church to be able to help lead and teach/preach. While we are gone, Mauricio & John, and our teammate from Bogota, Alejandro, will be preaching.
We love you all. Thank you so much. To Him be the glory.
For His Kingdom,
Jamie, Peter, & Max
