But she came and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, help me.” And he answered, “It is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.” She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.” Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.” - Matthew 15:25-28a
Well, we apologize it has been a while since we have written! With the holidays and of course, a baby, the time has slipped away but our prayers for you all have not. We are so thankful for everyone, and as we continue in our sermon series of Matthew, Peter has kindly reminded us to have a mega faith just like the Canaanite woman in the passage above. It is our prayer not only for us and for the people here, but for you all as well, to have a mega faith, one that would surpass the understanding of this world because of our belief in such a tremendous and powerful God and what He has done for us.
On a personal level, Zaion is well loved at church and has been doing what babies do best: eat, play, and sleep! He is still on additional formula for now and continues to have weight checks/pediatric appointments each month. He is 4 months old this Friday! He is also now
a dual citizen of Colombia and the United States! Thank you again for the prayers for this amazing blessing. He is such a fun little guy! My parents will be coming again in March to visit and help out for a little as Peter will be gone for several weeks teaching in Bogota. Prayers appreciated.
As far as ministry, we praise God for a young Venezuelan man named Jose Miguel who has taken charge of the sound equipment ministry. Recently, he held a training for those interested in helping out. Please pray that the people would learn and then show up to help out in this way!
There are two young girls, María Fernanda & Angie, that have graduated and are trying to figure out their future. María used to not be sure of the things of God, but we are pleased to announce that she wants to attend our seminary program in Bogota. Angie is the only girl
out of 5 brothers and would be the first of all her brothers, parents, and many other family members to attend college. She would like to do nursing. We do not know how each will pay for their education, but we are trusting God to meet all their needs! Please be in prayer for these young ladies.
Kids Club, Youth Group, Young Adults, Women’s Group, and discipleships are underway for the year with several from youth group graduating to Young Adults. It is a joy to serve in these ministries and see several of the people desire more spiritual growth. Ministry looks a little different for me at the moment, but the people love Zaion, and he has been pretty well behaved during Bible studies and church events. :)
Please continue to pray for people to want to come to church despite the extra 5 minute distance, that we would have wisdom in counseling some hard situations, for Heidi still on furlough, and Marissa’s visa situation.

For His Kingdom,
Jamie, Peter, Zaion, and the dog, Max
